ÉVO Automotive attends the business meeting organised by the CEA with the Minister of Industry, Energy and Mines of the Regional Government of Andalusia

As a member of the Confederation of Andalusian Entrepreneurs (CEA), ÉVO Automotive recently participated in a pivotal business gathering that brought together the Andalusian industrial sector and the regional counselor responsible for this domain. The meeting served as a platform for acknowledging and applauding the Andalusian government’s initiatives in the fields of automotive development and the Green Hydrogen Roadmap.

Andalusia has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to approaching economic development from a sustainable perspective. This commitment is exemplified by the region’s ambitious goals in utilizing clean energy as a driving force for its industry. In this context, ÉVO Automotive, a specialized engineering company focused on sustainable and zero-emission electromobility, expressed its satisfaction with the initiatives unveiled by the Regional Industry Counselor, Jose Paradela

These initiatives include measures and programs designed to increase investment in clean technologies and foster innovation within the industrial sector. Moreover, the announcement of incentive programs for basic infrastructure improvements aims to modernize industrial facilities and enhance energy efficiency.

During this strategic encounter, discussions also revolved around the progress of the Green Hydrogen Roadmap in Andalusia. This initiative emphasizes the essential collaboration between the public and private sectors to support the crucial role of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the transition towards a more equitable, green, and sustainable economy. Workgroups dedicated to regulation, financing, and opportunities in the regions of Huelva, Campo de Gibraltar, and Almería have been initiated, with significant advancements expected to be unveiled by the end of the year.

ÉVO Automotive expressed its satisfaction with the advancements in the Green Hydrogen Roadmap in Andalusia, noting its involvement in meetings held over the summer between the Andalusian Hydrogen Cluster and the government. They anticipate significant progress in this field by year-end, recognizing the pivotal role SMEs play in transitioning to a hydrogen-based economy.

ÉVO holds a prominent position in the hydrogen electromobility sector, with ongoing R&D projects such as the H2 Tractor. This project aims to develop an industrial electric vehicle powered by hydrogen fuel cells (FCEV) for logistical use in port, airport, and logistics center environments. Beyond designing and constructing the vehicle prototype, the project will involve comprehensive testing and validation under real-world conditions. Trials will be conducted at the Port of Algeciras, in Los Barrios (Cádiz), to assess the vehicle’s performance in a demanding and realistic port environment.

ÉVO, alongside its highly qualified and specialized multidisciplinary engineering team, will coordinate the project and establish collaborations with relevant research and technological development institutions and logistics sector companies operating in port areas. These efforts ensure the project’s excellence and top quality. Initiatives like H2TRACTOR underscore ÉVO’s unwavering commitment to a more sustainable future in Andalusia. This innovative project has been made possible through a grant obtained under programs supporting the renewable hydrogen industrial value chain in innovation and knowledge (technological advancements and demonstrators) as part of the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan, Incentives Program 2: Design, Demonstration, and Validation of Hydrogen-Powered Mobility.
