Évolution Synergétique Automotive S.L. (EVO), a leader in zero-emission mobility, has officially been approved by the European Commission to participate in the fourth Important Project of Common European Interest (IPCEI) in the hydrogen value chain, named IPCEI Hy2Move. This initiative aims to drive research, innovation, and the first industrial deployment of hydrogen technologies for mobility and transport.
The IPCEI Hy2Move, jointly notified by seven Member States (Estonia, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Slovakia, and Spain), will receive up to €1.4 billion in public funding, unlocking an additional €3.3 billion in private investments. EVO, along with 10 other companies, will undertake 13 innovative projects covering various areas of the hydrogen value chain.
Margrethe Vestager, Executive Vice-President in charge of competition policy, remarked, “The IPCEI Hy2Move approved today is an example of truly ambitious European cooperation for a key common objective. It also shows how competition policy works hand in hand with breakthrough innovation.”

The project will significantly contribute to the objectives of the European Green Deal, the EU Hydrogen Strategy and the EU Smart and Sustainable Mobility Strategy, promoting sustainable and zero-emission mobility and transport. Through its participation in IPCEI Hy2Move, EVO reaffirms its role as a strategic partner in the transition to a cleaner and more sustainable future.
